Meet Regina Joseph of Sapphire Butterflies Organization in Missouri City

June 28, 2017

Today we’d like to introduce you to Regina Joseph.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The Sapphire Butterflies was organized June 10, 1999. Sapphire Butterflies Organization began her journey in Sept. 2000 at Alief Middle School which was located in the Alief School District At-Risk-Youth After School 21st Century Program. Sapphire Butterflies Organization offered classes in: Character Building/Developing, What is a Bully, Are you? Dancing with the Butterflies, and The Wings of a Debutante. This program was designed to help inner city youth find their purpose in the Arts.

The Sapphire Butterflies Organization program help 85% of the inner-city girls find their purpose in the Arts and graduate high school with an above average in their studies. These young girls that were a part of the Sapphire Butterflies are now either attending college or now college graduates.

In 2014, I decided to bring the Sapphire Butterflies organization to my community here in Missouri City to give back to the young inner-city girls the same programs I was able to bless the young girls in Alief.

The Sapphire Butterflies Organization believes that every young girl need to have a positive platform to shine. We believe in caterpillars, which is our young girls, to go through the stages of metamorphosing into the beautiful butterflies GOD has designed them to be.

For, “What the caterpillar called the end of the world, the Master called it a Butterfly”!
